Serpain happily gazed upon his handsome, serpentine face. He could lose himself in this vain indulgence of self image. He looked lovingly into the serpents gold-green eyes that sat on his high cheek bones. Oh he as a site to behold! He had already removed the silly shirt of the magic maker, Isaac. He felt his chest was safe enough without the hassle of a shirt or armor. Though he kept the leather bag, it held recent going ons and fun magical items and the wonderful mirror he now adored himself in. 'Why are we sitting outside a Dragons cave?' that pesky voice of the damnable boy the serpent king had taken control of piped up. What a nuisance he was.
"Why? Well, because I, unlike you am unafraid of them, they are my kin in a sense, though they are not as gorgeous as I am," Serpain replied to the petulant voice. He continued to put his hand through his hair and caress his handsome face. Isaac couldn't understand the strange spirits fascination with himself.
'We should leave!' the boy called loudly. It broke Serpain's concentration on his image in the mirror, this made him angry.
"Silence! Fool, this is my body now! I'll do with it as I wish, if I wish to remain near a Walker cave I will, if I wish to admire my gorgeous form in the mirror I will. You have no say for you were dumb enough to walk right up the gates of hell scribbling in your notebook. I can read your every thought and memory now so don't deny your own stupidity," the dictator snapped. He stood and stretched cracking a few bones. "Oh how good it is to walk among the living, young and alive again!"
Isaac within his own head sighed. He could do nothing, he'd been at least given the ability to commune and be a conscience for the seemingly pure evil entity. 'Fine, have it your way then, but remember your promise not to do anything bad with my body.'
Serpain chuckled. Not do anything bad? Who did he take him for a nice guy? "Right of course, I'll be sure to take good care of my body," he mused pointedly. Isaac just sighed uneasily. There was nothing more he could do as the serpent king started to twirl his staff around with the ease of any good warrior. "I still can't believe you have no sword, or even knife, such a fool. Magic can't protect you always, unless you practice that despicable "Religious" crap." Isaac had to agree, in this time only Holy men and others like them seemed protected.

"Okay, dude, seriously, this cave is the coolest!" A brown-haired boy said with enthuiasm, "Or at least I've heard." "From where?" Rio asked his newfound friend. "A bunch of guys outside a pub. I think a few of them had been drunk at the time, but they all told the same story. Anywho, they said that there is gold and jewels in the cave and very few have come out alive with those treasures." He walked at a quick pace, as if the rumored treasure would vanish before midnight. "Well," Rio didn't have trouble keeping pace, "where did all the treasure come from?" He had gotton better at english over the last year and he was glad for that because his new friend talked very rapidly. The teen shrugged. "I dunno, but man, wouldn't it be so cool if we could get some of that treasure? I mean, we would be RICH! We could have all the girls and boys we want, live in big houses and have all the blood to drink we'll ever need!" He exclaimed, half-jumping on Rio. The tan vampire smiled at the thought of being rich, but his smile faded as he really started to notice the area in which they were headed.

Serpain flicked his eyes in the direction of a rather noisy duo, if there was anything he hated more then the damned voice in his head it was voice that came from the outside. He was not in a very cheery mood ever and this mild annoyance ground his gears. "I hope you don't mind If I break you body a bit..." the serpent king mused as the flesh at his back gave a sickening snap and oily black feathered wings formed from the liquid that poured from the self inflicted wound. Isaac cringed at the sound, the pain reverberated throughout their combined minds. 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING?' he growled. "Getting rid of nuisances if it's possible. Black Thorn Breaker, I summon thee!" Serpain replied and grabbed the air which formed into a black bladed sword. The thorn chain wrapped around his entire arm digging dark thorns into his flesh, blood oozed over his arm and the links. "Come Isaac, let me show you what hell can do..." The boy within winced and cowered. This was definitely /bad/ why the hell had he gone that close to the gates? "What if there are monsters in the cave?" Rio asked as the uneasy feeling in his stomach grew. "Rio, dude, we're vampires, we can most likly outrun them." He half-punched the other vampire but his happy feeling didn't stay long. "Hey, does something seem, wrong?" He asked, looking around. "We should turn around then," "No way, chicken." He lightly shoved Rio who tripped over his own feet and fell on some loose rocks.

A laugh that could have frozen the very air into ice resounded from the darkness near the cave. It seemed to have an unnatural ring, something absolutely wrong about it. "Perhaps running would be best, but even vampires can't outrun a ghost..." the cruelest voice hissed. There was no gravel in his tone, there was only a smooth easy tone.
'Serpain you can't...' Isaac called hopelessly and helplessly. He knew the serpent king wouldn't listen, but trying was all he had to do. 'Shh, go to sleep Isaac, you won't even know it's happening' Serpain replied. Isaac liked the idea...he was in an awful lot of pain. He faded off and the dictator was pleased that he had total control.
"Are you ready to fight?" he asked softly to the vampires now stopped.

bic: The boy spun around, protecting Rio. "Hey, we don't want any trouble..." He said nervously. Rio propped himself on his bloody elbows, wincing at the stinging sensation. "Yeah...s-sir. We weren't going to hurt anyone or anything..."

"But I did so overhear your thinking of waltzing into a dragons cave hoping for a cut of that which is not yours...why should I let you into the cave I protect even if you're not going to "Hurt Anoyone"" Serpain mused as he walked out into the light blood dripping off the tip of his sword. "Cause I've already been to hell and killing you now won't do anything more against me," his voice now had a bemused tone, like he found pleasure in watching them cower.
"Come on now, don't get frightened, or you'll die too quick. You're vampires aren't you? Come drink my blood then..." The serpent king called vilely.

Rio glared at his friend. "What the hell? You said no one lived in there!" "Hell if I knew! Those guys never said anything about a dragon!" "They were drunk!" Despite their arguing the boy helped Rio up, then the two vampires backed away from Serpain. "Well yeah, we're vampires but we're nowhere near strong enough to defeat you," The boy tried using charm, if not to save their lives as least to let them live a few minutes longer. "Yeah...a-and we're not going to go in the c-cave anymore, right Jerrick?" He elbowed his friend in the ribs, intent on leaving a bruise. Jerrick winced and nodded. "Yeah, we're going to head home now..."

Serpain smiled his sharp fangs glinting as they folded from his mouth. His wings flared out. "Oh really, hmmm...not strong enough? Well why don't we make a deal, if you can beat me in a game then you can toddle in with my blessings. If you fail however then you have to fight me. Sound fair enough?" he asked reasonably as he pressed his sword down leaning on it. He seemed completely relaxed. "I'm sure you're just lying so I don't kill you on the spot, and go right a head with your shifty eyes and shaking hands. It won't do much good, I'm the master of the art of lying and betrayal..." His laugh was as icy and cruel as ever.

"No...we are serious, we'll just...toddle on off to our home...and never return." Rio stated. He could feel Jerrick stiffen and wanted to kick him. They were not going in the cave anymore! "Yeah...we promise to never return...unless you want us to of course, sir." "A-and there is no need to prove how weak we are." Rio added as they continued to move away.

Serpain smiled and chuckled taking flight and landing behind them in a swift smooth motion. Her wrapped his arms around the two ensuring that he kept Rio clean of the blood and thorns on his left arm. "Oh but please I insist...it'll be fun!" he cooed cruelly. "It's been a while since anyones come to play with me...I just got out of hell, offer me just this one thing please?" His voice almost sounded mockingly childish.

"What's that?" Jerrick asked, eyes closed and ready for pain. Rio was tense, eyes closed as well. Dammit! They should have gone into the forest on the other side of the city, not to the cave!

"I'll tell a riddle if you answer it right you get a point, if you answer it wrong you lose a point, then it's your turn...if I get it right I get a point etc. We'll go four rounds two riddles each. How's that sound?" Serpain mused his breath on their necks. He had cold skin, and his tone was smooth and icy. A cruel sort of sound though he sounded amused.
